How does it get any better than this?

October 15, 2012

A few months ago I heard some advice that seemed worth trying to follow. Every time any money came my way, I was to say, “How does it get any better than this?” The idea is that you are inviting the Universe to show just how, indeed, it can get any better than this.

Within a few weeks of trying this, over $150,000 flowed into my life that was unexpected!

I have been meaning to write about this powerful idea for quite some time, but a few things happened today to wake me up and realize that I had to share it with you.

My assistant brought me the mail – there were actually two personally addressed pieces in there – extremely rare. Who writes letters any more?

The first was addressed to Marilyn ♥ ♥ – really just like that! And inside were two five dollar bills and a note from a friend saying that she’d forgotten to help pay for our recent brunch together (and about how much she loves me, too). Well, how does it get any better than that – money and love, all wrapped up in one envelope? I put the bills away, and said to myself, “Well, how does it get any better than that?” I truly felt on top of the world.

My thoughts apparently summoned the assistant again, who said, “This is worth interrupting you for. Client X just paid us, and they overpaid by $75. And, ahm, why don’t you get online and look at the bank balance?”

By the smile on her face, I knew what she was trying to tell me – it was into my “happy zone” – the one where I have to adjust the column wider to make all those digits fit.

How does it get any better than this? I don’t know, but I can’t wait to find out!

I invite you to try this. Commit to saying, “How does it get any better than this?’ with every amount of money that comes your way, for a day, a week, a month, or the rest of your life. Let me know how it goes for you.

Until next time,

Marilyn

PS: I learned about the “How does it get any better than this?” phrase through Access Consciousness, which is a way of continually asking questions to get entirely new results (whereas most of us were trained to live in the limiting world of conclusions). If you are interested in learning more about Access Consciousness, check them out here. (The Access Consciousness link is an Affiliate Link. That means I get a small commission if you decide to purchase anything from them. But I would encourage you to just check it out and see what you think – try the free stuff first and see if it is for you.)

PPS: Wondering about the other letter? I wrote that story down at Grow Your Org. If you do any marketing or trying to influence others, I suggest that you read it now.

PPS: What else is possible?!
